In October, we celebrated 25 years of our Life Learning Program at the Cook County Jail. In the fall of 1997, God opened a miraculous opportunity for Chicagoland Prison Outreach at Cook County Jail. We were given permission to create a safe haven for Christian inmates to live separate from the jail's general population. By taking command of a cell block in Division 11, we immersed participating inmates in an intensive discipleship experience where they are guided into practical applications of God’s Word. Some of those former inmates gathered for a reunion at Parkview Christian Church to share the stories of how being a part of the Life Learning Program has changed their lives.
