As the boot camp continues to go through transitions, our bible study leaders and ministry leaders there have had to adjust and a constantly change what they do on a day to day basis. In the last few weeks we have only had nine inmates that we have been able to talk to about our Lord.
As a change of pace, the Cook County Boot Camp has been housing men that are serving county time. This is different than the usual men that would stay there. As our leaders have spent more and more time with these men, it has become apparent to them that these men are hungry for God's word and are striving to learn more and more. The Lord has been doing great things within these men as they have been aggressively asking for more and more bible studies. These men only serve for a very short time and can be anywhere from two months to a year's time. So our impact on their lives even though they are not our usual inmates that we seek out, is extremely important in their growth and learning in Christ.
Please continue to pray for our leaders as they are enduring these difficult changes as well as rejoicing in that these men serving county time are hungry for the word or the Lord. Please pray that these men continue to seek out the Lord as they might leave. As we have most recently heard, we have more inmates coming under our wing. Praise the Lord that we will have the chance to minister and talk with these men about Christ as well.
God Bless,
