Why Worship Matters

By Corey Buchanan, Executive Director

The Apostle Paul reminds us that “one plants, one waters, but God gives the increase.” This truth keeps us grounded in the work of prison ministry. It helps us remember that our role is to be faithful to the calling and assignment God has given us and to trust Him with the results.

Earlier this year, our Board of Directors completed and approved a five-year strategic plan we’re calling Seeds of Hope. I believe this plan will be the tool God uses to bring a program explosion doubling and possibly tripling our impact across our three core departments: Chaplaincy, Career and Life Development, and Compassionate Care.

This newsletter highlights key components of that plan and offers a glimpse into the exciting season ahead. As we step into this new season, we are prayerfully inviting generous partners like you to sow seeds into the mission of CPO – gifts that will help us continue making disciples and loving people in difficult places, all for the glory of God.

As we approach the end of the year, I ask that you prayerfully consider giving a generous gift to help us finish strong and plant the seeds for the next five years of ministry.

Thank you for your continued partnership and prayers!
