Meeting Practical Needs with Christlike Compassion
When incarceration disrupts a home, the needs don’t stop—but neither does God’s provision.
When incarceration affects a home, the impact reaches far beyond the prison walls. Chicagoland Prison Outreach’s Compassionate Care programs provide practical and spiritual support to families navigating that reality.
Through Angels of Hope, Women of Hope, and our food pantry, we offer encouragement, essential resources, and Christ-centered community—reminding families they are not forgotten.
Programs
Each of our Compassionate Care programs meets a unique need, offering practical help and spiritual encouragement to families affected by incarceration.
Letters of Hope
Isolation can be one of the most challenging aspects of incarceration. Our Letters of Hope program connects trained church volunteers with inmates through anonymous, biblically-based letters.
These correspondences remind inmates that they are not forgotten and that God’s love reaches even the darkest places.
Women of Hope
Women of Hope is a fellowship group dedicated to supporting women who have husbands or sons in jail or prison.
This community provides a safe space for sharing, prayer, and mutual encouragement, helping women navigate the emotional and practical challenges they face.
Food Pantry
We currently serve more than 200 families throughout the Chicagoland area, providing food deliveries and pop-up food distribution events throughout the year.
Angels of Hope
Angels of Hope partners with local churches and volunteers to deliver food, household essentials, and encouragement to families of inmates, fostering strong, supportive relationships.
Help Us Extend Christ’s Love Beyond the Prison Walls
Small acts of compassion can bring light to some of the darkest places.
Through food boxes, handwritten letters, holiday gifts, and spiritual community, our Compassionate Care programs remind families impacted by incarceration that they are not forgotten. Your support allows this work to continue—reaching homes with hope, restoring dignity, and planting seeds of faith in the everyday moments that matter most.
Give Today
Be the reason someone hears the Gospel and receives life-changing support. Your gift today equips us to meet people in prison and beyond with the love of Christ and the tools to start again.
Planned Giving
Leave a legacy that reflects your faith. Through planned giving, you can help future generations experience hope, restoration, and the power of the Gospel—long after today.
Volunteer
Step into someone’s story of redemption. When you volunteer, you bring the light of Christ to those seeking a second chance—and you become part of the transformation God is writing.
