Restoring Lives Affected by Incarceration
At CPO, we believe that every person—no matter their past—can experience redemption and purpose through Christ.
Our programs meet people where they are, providing biblical guidance, vocational training, mentorship, and practical resources to help rebuild what’s been lost. Through the faithful support of our community, we serve hundreds of individuals and families every year with compassion and care.
Our Programs
Life Learning Program
Chaplaincy
Located in Cook County Jail and Westville Correctional Facility, this immersive discipleship environment offers structured biblical teaching and character development through daily classes. Participants are challenged to live out their faith inside the jail—and beyond.
Jail & Prison Discipleship
Chaplaincy
Through regular visits, CPO chaplains and volunteers lead Bible studies, offer mentorship, and build relationships with men and women in correctional facilities. These Gospel-centered connections often continue after release, helping individuals stay grounded in Christ.
Vocational Training
Career & Life Development
We provide free training in trades like welding, carpentry, electrical work, and OSHA certification—paired with job readiness, trauma coaching, and spiritual encouragement. Students are supported by case managers as they pursue meaningful work and stable lives.
Organic Mentoring & Discipleship
Career & Life Development
Returning citizens are matched with mentors who walk alongside them as they reenter society—offering spiritual guidance, accountability, and support in their journey of growth and faith.
Compassionate Gifts
Compassionate Care
Families of the incarcerated receive essential items through our food pantry and seasonal drives, including groceries, hygiene products, and school supplies. These resources help ease burdens and communicate the love of Christ in action.
Letters of Hope
Compassionate Care
Volunteers send anonymous, faith-based letters of encouragement to incarcerated men and women, letting them know they are not forgotten—and that they are deeply loved by God.
Women of Hope
Compassionate Care
A fellowship group for women with incarcerated loved ones. This Christ-centered space offers connection, healing, and spiritual encouragement.
Angels of Hope
Compassionate Care
Each year, we partner with churches and volunteers to deliver Christmas gifts, food, and home goods to hundreds of children and families impacted by incarceration—bringing joy.
